We all have our own quirks, our own likes and dislikes. Talking to a few people I learnt that some people are embarrassed about their 'fetishes'. There was an embarrassed ' oh I must sound weird or 'it's not normal. A couple of times it came up and it got me thinking.
It led me to think ... well, who decides what is normal or not normal. Society puts labels on what is the norm and we accept what the majority say is normal. For example. If you are a cross dresser, that is okay. No one has the right to make you feel like there is something wrong with you . So... you like clothes that are traditionally worn by women. What is the harm in that?
If Women can wear trousers, then why is there is such a stigma attached to a man wanting to enjoy fabrics such as silk , chiffon and all things beautiful just as us women enjoy. If I feel happy in a satin nighty, why can't a man.
why do you we choose to stigmatise certain people?
The pressure we sometimes pressure on ourselves to be accepted and to fit in with society or rather what the majority of the people dictate to us what is 'normal'. Who is 'good enough' and who is not. We end up questioning our validity .
The only thing we need to be ashamed of is if our actions cause another person hurt or if we exploit or cheat someone. What we are into is our business and what ever we like is okay as long as it's not harming another soul.
