Over the last two weeks, life has felt like a bit of a whirlwind for me and my partner. It’s been hectic, unpredictable, and at times pretty stressful. What should have been a fairly normal stretch of work and travel ended up turning into one challenge after another, mostly thanks to our van deciding it had other plans.
In the space of just two weeks, the van broke down three separate times. Each time we thought we had sorted the issue, something else seemed to go wrong. Twice we ended up completely stranded because of it, which is never fun when you’re far away from home and trying to juggle a busy schedule. Sitting around waiting for recovery or trying to figure out the next move definitely tested our patience, especially when we had places to be and work to keep up with.
On top of the van problems, we’ve also been doing a lot of travelling during this period, which made everything even more exhausting. Long drives, unexpected stops, and constantly adjusting plans meant there hasn’t been much time to properly slow down. Travelling can be great, but when it’s mixed with breakdowns and tight schedules it quickly becomes draining.
Despite all of that, work hasn’t stopped. We’ve still been busy creating content and keeping up with our online platforms, including the couples page that we run together.
