Though one small thing I hadn't guessed... The ruins really ARE... well... ruined. 😂 Nearly ruined my day, you see, But still quite beautiful to me. One day I'll return in a fabulous dress, Red hair, heels and gorgeousness. 💃 Then Oundle called, so off I went, For lunch and time rather nicely spent. And somewhere during today's roam, I thought... I rather like this home-from-home. ❤️ Peterborough, you puzzle me still, Perhaps your Cathedral eventually will Convince this wandering Essex lass To stop exploring quite so fast. And then came Orton Hall and Spa... Oh dear. Now THAT caught Leah's eye from afar. 😈 So NEXT SUNDAY I'm coming once more, A room awaits behind a door. And next to where I'll lay my head, A spooky churchyard full of dead. 👻😂 But perhaps I'll find a gent instead To join me where the bubbles spread... A little swim, some steam, a soak, A splash or two, a naughty joke. We'll both get wet — that's guaranteed, And test our swimming stamina and speed. 😇 Some vigorous lengths might do us good... THE POOL! Behave. I knew you would. 😂 But Sunday's Sunday — that's already planned. There's also midweek mischief potentially at hand. From Stansted-ish lands I might venture away, Up Oundle-ish, Oakham-ish, somewhere halfway. Find a little hideaway, Disappear together for part of the day. Not instead of Sunday's fun... Oh no, my loves. Why limit yourself to one? 😈 My phone today has barely stopped, Messages pinged and enquiries dropped. So genuinely, THANK YOU, one and all, For every message, email and call. ❤️ And to the people I actually met, Thank you too — no names, don't fret. 😉 Tonight I'm shattered, battery low, But there's something you ought to know: Midweek Leah may roam once more... And Sunday's spa is already in store. So perhaps we'll swim. Perhaps we'll steam. Perhaps we'll bubble like a dream. And if I find one gent who's right... I love singing, writing stories, gardening, people-watching, travelling, reading, learning new things and occasionally putting the world to rights over a long lunch. I can be equally happy wandering around a country garden, visiting a museum, watching a theatre show, exploring London, sitting in a country pub, or simply laughing over coffee and cake. I like people with curious minds. People who can talk about politics without starting a war. People who can discuss religion, faith, history, travel, books, current affairs, or whether aliens have already visited and decided not to come back. The older I get, the more I realise that good conversation is attractive. Kindness is attractive. Humour is attractive. Being comfortable in your own skin is attractive. I'm not looking for perfection. Goodness knows I haven't found that in the mirror. I'm looking for someone genuine. Someone kind. Someone who enjoys life. Someone who likes nice restaurants, country pubs, theatre trips, city days out, spontaneous adventures and the occasional dessert. And yes... If two people enjoy each other's company enough, perhaps there may be a little chemistry too. But I'd much rather start with a great conversation and a laugh than rush anywhere. Life's too short and too interesting for that.
