I hope you are all doing well and looking forward to the Chrstma break!
I always look forward to Christmas, though think it will be nicer when the nights draw out!
It has been another great year and I have been doing my usual volunteering. Recently I have started volunteering at Mind and LOROS Hospice which I am thoroughly enjoying.
I do spare a thought for those where Christmas isn’t a nice time of year. I still highly recommend volunteering to anyone feeling a little lonely. It is a great way to get out of the house, meet people and make friends, improve mental health and most importantly, help others!
I have also started a course recently which is taking up a lot of my time which I find challenging but I’m enjoying.
It’s very easy for people to sit and complain at the state of the world nowadays but making the world a better place starts with you! What are you doing to make this world a better place even in the smallest way?
You never know what a smile or act of kindness can do to someone and the ripple effects it can have. Your act of kindness can lead to them doing an act of kindness for someone else.
As an example, I once heard a lady talk about how they gave a woman in a queue some money for her shopping because she didn’t have enough to pay. Years later the woman that was given the money went on to volunteer at a local food bank because she knew what it was like to not have enough.

Do not say and do unkind things to someone just because they are different to you. Politics only serves to divide people, not unify. This planet was here long before humans existed and will be here long after we aren’t here anymore.
Regardless of what people believe, humans do not own this earth. We were given the chance to enjoy and maintain the earth’s beauty so that is what you should be doing. Not fighting, complaining and exploiting this world. Without the planet, we have nowhere to live so you should all be doing your bit to make it a pleasant place.
