Good grief, why is it not simple!!! (August 13, 2025)
I know it’s been ages since my last blog, I know that I said I would do them more frequently. Today I found out why it has been so long since my last blog. Three hours to write a blog, lose a blog somewhere in the ether, rewrite and wonder what time I can start on the gin to forget the whole ordeal!!! What on earth has happened to being able to type something and save it to your laptop? Why must a cloud get involved, especially on a day like today with no clouds in the sky.
I always thought my biggest problem was my lack of direction, clearly it isn’t. Two recent trips south (yes at some point I will stay for longer than two hours and maybe meet people down there) have shown me my sense of direction is improving, however, my thought process isn’t. Why would I not think to check if a town with a premier league football team would be playing at home on a day that you are travelling there? why would you not think to find a route that would not take you past the football ground just as they are letting supporters in and so closing roads close by where you need to be? Anyway, I managed to get through, drop off the precious cargo and escape without too much hardship, the air in the car however was blue, pity the towns colours are red.
The weather heated up and I was lucky enough to get invited to join my best friends on late evening walks, the four legged one is always happy to see me (it always helps when there are treats in my car just for him), a walk to the pub, a couple of drinks and then a little ‘adult’ fun.
